Hi Sally

All your products are amazing but this one let me down. As other people have said when you apply it it causes streaks the only way to prevent streaks is to apply it with 3 strokes.

The shine on this is unbelievable it is fabulous!

But I have to say the wear on this is very poor its doesn't prevent chipping and I have to say I have seen better top coats. So Sorry to be saying this.

I think maybe with this product you should concentrate on the hardiness and prevent chipping more than the concentrating on the shine.

This is by far the best nailpolish / topcoat basecoat etc on the market, as a person who constantly maintains the beauty of my nails - I wouldnt ever move away from this product, the shine is unbelievable, the quality is outstanding, its thick, it doesnt streak/smear etc. Its perfect. I will continue to use this product for as long as Sally manufactures this product. Ps I am an Engineer and pride myself on maintaining beautiful nails in my trade (which believe me isnt easy) But due to this product I can, and I fully recommend this product to everyone who loves glossy silky shiny nails... you wont be disappointed.

It gives you a hard protective layer that is a super high glossy finish, its perfect for us girls who love to show off our gorgeous nails.

Disappointing

I bought this product when I ran out of my nails inc. topcoat, and have generally only had good experiences with Sally Hanson. However, when I used it I was very disappointed with the results. On the first use, I used it over a new nail varnish I'd purchased from a cheap brand, so when my manicure started to flake and chip after only about 2 hours, I assumed it was the cheap colour at fault. The result was so bad that the next day I completely re-did my manicure with a higher quality colour that I have never had problems with before. And yet the same thing happened again. As a test, I tried the extended wear top coat on its own over natural nails, and though not necessarily recommended for use on its own, I would expect the result to be at least 'acceptable'. Instead, I would liken the outcome to having used pva glue as a polish. The shine also leaves something to be desired, and I would certainly not class it as 'mega'. The only good point about this product would be that the result (for the first 2 hours!) was very smooth and got rid of any pits or ridges in the nail colour. Overall, a waste of money.

Dear Sally Member, thank you for your comment. This is a highly effective product so I am sorry to hear you have not been satisfied. Before applying your nail polish please ensure your nail is completely free of oils/creams, as this can cause nail polish to streak and come off. To ensure a clean surface swipe the nail plate with nail polish remover before applying your colour. When applying Mega Shine over the top ensure you have plenty of product on the brush, as a drier brush can cause streaks. Kind Regards, Sally x

I BOUGHT THIS POLISH AS A FRIEND RECOMMENDED IT AND I READ GREAT REVIEWS ON IT.HOWEVER WHEN I USED IT AFTER PAINTING MY NAILS (THEY WERE NEARLY DRY BUT STATES YOU CAN PUT ON WHEN NAIL POLISH WET ANYWAY). MY NAIL POLISH WENT ALL STREAKY AND SOME OF IT CAME OFF.I TRIED VARIOUS NAIL POLISH'S WHICH ARE ALL GOOD BRANDS BUT IT CONTINED TO EITHER GO STREAKY OR REMOVE THE POLISH,CAN YOU PLEASE ADVISE.
