Hi to all:)I like the Hard as Wraps, because it's like doing acrylic nails at home, which is great...like the shine and strength of it.BUT: How to remove it??It definitely doesn't work with nail polish remover, and so my question is:how to remove hard as wraps from the nails?Thank you for an answer:) Cheers.

Sally Hansen Hard As Wraps Nail Gel

I have lost count of the many products i have tried in order to obtain long, strong nails and dread to think how much money i have spent - all an absolute waste of time. This even included some other Sally Hansen products (sorry) ! Found Maximum Growth and Diamond Strength just do not stay put.

The problem I have always had has been nails breaking at the corners, down really low, and excessive peeling - at times to half way down the nail.  I have been in despair.

Then brought Hard as Wraps (clear gel blue bottle) about 6 weeks ago.  Thought it quite expensive but you don't use a lot of it and i am only about a quarter of the way down the bottle.  SO 6 weeks on and am absolutely amazed by it.  I have super strong, long nails in just this time.  Something so alien to me I am now finding it hard to type. SO HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.

To start with, like many other products, I found it peeled within a day.  The answer to this, I found, was to ensure the nail had been thoroughly cleaned with nail varnish remover to remove the residue of anything on them.  Then rinse under fairly warm running water, WATER ONLY i.e. no handwash etc, rubbing the nails as you go.  Ensure you dry completely, i use some kitchen roll then apply the gel as directed.  Found this method means it stays put without needing to re-apply for best part of a week.

Had comments  about how lovely my nails are and some people have been surprised when I said they were my own and not false. Other friends are now trying it too.

AT LONG LAST FOUND A GREAT GREAT PRODUCT ! Thanks

Combining Products

Hi Sally Member, Thanks for the great review. We do not suggest combining treatments as they are better used on their own. Nail Growth Miracle needs to be used on a bare nail and applied every other day for maximum results. Why not wait for your nails to grow, using Nail Growth Miracle, and then reinforce with Hard as Wraps at the end. Or alternate and just use Hard as Wraps when your nails experience more wear and tear. Sally x

Ive just bought this item and so far it seems great. Im wondering if its ok to combine products? Id like to try the Miracle Growth treatment underneath this between applications to speed up my nail growth. Is this ok?

Removal of Treatments

Dear Amanda, Thank you for your comment. Hard as wraps creates a extra hard acrylic type finish which can be used both under and on top of nail colour. It gives a great shiny finish and long-lasting wrap-like surface. This is really strong stuff so I recommend only one coat. A good quality nail polish remover should easily remove all Sally Hansen nail treatments. Firstly please ensure you are not applying too many coats (maximum of one on top of the colour). If you are using the correct amount of coats it may be how you are removing the polish, please try the following - 1) Soak the cotton wool pad in good quality nail polish remover (such as Sally Hansen). 2) Press the pad firmly to the nail and hold on for a few seconds. 3) Pull the pad down the nail whilst gently pressing down. I've just brought hard as nails wraps for the first time and my normal polish remover won't shift it! What should I use?
