Using Hard as Nails as a top coat
Hi, Thanks for your query. This product can be used as a base coat however is not designed to be a top coat. If you are looking for a strengthening top and base (in 1) I would suggest you use Double Duty. Sally x

hard as nails
i like this product it strengthens my nails super fast ,so now i cant even bend ,them there that strong also it gives a natural shine i like that's good as-well since im still in school,this bottle of wonders dries super fast when im applying it onto my other hand its all ready dried on the applicating hand WOW i love it :-))

i dont agree with you..
its actually pretty cheap if you compare it to other nail strengtheners & all nail varnishes do peel off and leave your nail rough if you put too much on & same with the bubbles, it sometimes happens with all polishes...

I bought a bottle of this today. I've never been able to grow my nails before, but since retiring, I have used nail varnish on a regular basis. The thing is, can I use this with nail varnish or should it be used on it's own?

fantastic product
I've used this product for years and it really does strenthen and keep the colour from chipping. It gives a great shine too. It's touch dry quicker than most polish speeding up the painting process.
not great
this product was quite expencive and i must admit i was expecting it to stay on more that a day at a time, it flakes/peels off (depending on how much i apply) and leaves my nails rough where its come off, sometimes tiny bubbles appear between coats and i dont need everyone telling me im not applying it correctly as i have given it a month with all different techniques, i dont really recomend this unless you have time to paint your nails every day, which i dont, wont be buying it again.

as a self confessed nail biter I was certainly more than dubious about using nail treatments.. this is definitely worth the extra price (above competitors) becuase it GENUINELY WORKS!!!
I found the bottle lasts as long as a regular bottle of polish (and thats with applications upto 3 times a week) it leaves my nails feeling conditioned and hard but certainly not brittle
