Last week I was very kindly asked to attend an awards dinner for beauty products as Sally Hansen’s guest. It was a black tie affair at the Langham Hotel in Regent Street. So after a hard day’s photoshoot for Chinese Vogue Magazine, it was a quick dash home and my usual get ready in half an hour routine (thank god for Sally Hansen Airbrush legs at times like these!), before I found myself at the champagne reception mixing with the likes of Gok Wan from How to Look Good Naked, Nicky Hambleton–Jones from Ten Years Younger and well known hairdresser, Mark Hill.
Sally Hansen was nominated for four awards, including the prestigious “Special Award for Innovation” with Natural Shine, which I’m so glad to say we won!
After the dinner, Gok (who by the way was a most charming and hilarious compeer for the night), started proceedings for a charity auction to raise money for Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital. Caught up in the atmosphere, I found myself donating a manicure by myself towards the prize, which ended up helping to raise £12,000 for the charity!
It was a fantastic night so thanks to Pure Beauty and well done to Sally Hansen for their awards.
